The first six years of Katherine Jenkins career have already been extraordinary in every sense of the word. But since moving labels earlier this year to Warner Bros Records she has, under the stewardship of producer David Foster (credited with the careers of Josh Groban, Michael Bublé and most recently Seal’s comeback) made her most ambitious album to date.

“Last year when the opportunity to work with David came up, for me it was a dream come true” recalls Katherine. “I’ve always loved his style, what he brings to the music, and it’s been an absolutely amazing experience working with him. This is the album I’ve always dreamt of making”.

Katherine spent the spring of 2009 in LA at Foster’s studio, recording ‘Believe’, the 7th album of her phenomenal career. Together they have produced a record of epic proportions that is set to take Katherine to new heights of success around the world.

“Katherine’s voice is right up there with the best” says Foster. “She has this unique ability to think and perform right outside the box. Over the forty years I’ve been in the business, Katherine has to be one of the most unique talents I’ve ever worked with. I’m immensely proud of this record we’ve made”.

Combining the production genius of Foster, who has worked with massive international stars including Whitney Houston, Céline Dion and Barbra Streisand, and Jenkins, a record breaking artist who has been credited as opening up classical music to a mainstream audience, ‘Believe’ confirms Katherine’s position as one of the greatest voices of our generation.

With a broad mix of contemporary and traditional repertoire the record not only delivers for existing fans but will also broaden her audience across the globe. From the haunting Sarah McLachlan song, ‘Angel’, through to a stunning working of 90’s Evanescence’s ‘Bring Me To Life’, the mezzo soprano’s unique vocal interpretations bind seamlessly with Foster’s arrangement and production.

Additionally, Jenkins partners up for a stunning duet with award winning tenor, Andrea Bocelli. ‘I Believe’, beautifully arranged by Foster himself, is a tender operatic ballad that unites two of the world’s finest voices. Grammy ® Award winning writer Richard Marx, most famous for the likes of ‘Right Here Waiting’ and ‘Dance With My Father’, contributes ‘Fear Of Falling’. Further collaborations are with award winning trumpeter Chris Botti and acclaimed Dutch violinist and composer, André Rieu

Katherine debuted material from the new record when she performed at Foster’s "Hit Man & Friends” show in Las Vegas in May. Performing ‘Parla Piu Piano’, the theme from The Godfather, at a capacity crowd at the Mandalay Bay Arena, the girl from Neath confirmed her intent on becoming a global superstar.
